Ted Kaczynski, the globalist élites, and you

Total transparency and the loss of identity: the globalist revolution and its consequences.

Theodore Kaczynski, passed away in prison on June 10, 2023, at the age of 81. Despite his violent crimes, Ted was likely one of the few who truly understood the contemporary world and had the ability to describe it clearly in his manifesto: “The Industrial Society and its future."

Ted harbored a deep resentment for the "industrial revolution and its consequences", arguing that while technological advancements have extended life expectancy, they have also "destabilized society and made our lives hollow, unsatisfying, and demeaning."

According to Ted, one of the most glaring symptoms of rampant modern discomfort is what he, as early as 1992, referred to as "leftism". By this term, he didn't mean a specific leftist political trend, but a broader and fragmented phenomenon that refers to all new collectivist, anti-individualist, and politically correct ideologies.

Indeed, where once Marxism and the left were synonymous with revolution against bourgeois institutions, today's "left" comprises various ideologies proliferating through woke, LGBTQI+, environmental activism, and so forth — funded by the same elite they once sought to battle.

We could say, using Ayn Rand's words, that the "leftists" carry a "tribal thinking" typically collectivist, which leads them to act and think in unison, even without any central planning.

Notice this ever-growing phenomenon: as soon as a catalyst event occurs, masses of people automatically conform to this or that mainstream thought. For instance, how many people do you know who suddenly decided to specify their pronouns on social media — as if they were searching for a lost identity?

The Lost Identity

I believe that the theme of identity is central in the collectivist phenomenon described by Ted and which surround us. To better understand, one might find insights in two vastly different works that share the theme of identity: J.D. Salinger's novel "Catcher in the Rye" and the Japanese anime "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex".
