Today Iβm going to explain you how the European Union wants to create the worst mass surveillance regime ever seen in western democracies. Conspiracy? Science fiction? Nah, itβs exactly the scope of a law recently proposed by the European Commission.
Friends call this bill the Chatcontrol 2.0, but its full name is βRegulation laying down rules to prevent and combat child sexual abuseβ.
In the next paragraphs I will explain to you in simple terms what Chatcontrol is about, how this crazy and totalitarian surveillance regime will apply, and if it is possible to protect yourself against this new crazy form of digital surveillance.
